The "Vampire Diaries" is a long-running series of CW television network will be ending soon and is all set to end after eight seasons. The showrunner Julie Plec has put forward some interesting details about the important cast of the series.

According to Korean Portal, it is said the viewers can expect some of the most exciting and emotional scenes in The "Vampire Diaries" season 8 . It has also been revealed that the finale would see the reunion of Damon played by Ian Somerhalder and Elena played by Nina Dobrev. In an interview, Plec has mentioned that although this reunion is quite long awaited Damon will feel somewhat uneasy about this particular situation.It is revealed that Damon will feel very much perplexed with the return of his girlfriend.

The main reason behind this is that Damon has promised himself that he would do several things to transform himself into a man that truly deserve to be the love of Elena. Apart from this reunion of Damon and Elena, Plec has also revealed the thoughts of the marriage of Stefan played by Paul Wesley and Caroline played by Candice King in the The "Vampire Diaries" season 8. The humanity of Stefan and the immortality of Caroline is the reason of an unknown future of the newlywed couple, reported Tv Line.

On the other hand, Bonnie played by Kat Graham and Enzo played by Michael Malarkey will have a spiritual connection even in death. Plec has not revealed the details about Bonnie's fate and has instead said that Bonnie's and Enzo's love could be described as eterna.

Thus, it is still not very clear that whether the death of Bonnie will lead to the awakening of Elena, but a clipping of a teaser of The "Vampire Diaries" season 8 has put forward a clue that the return of Elena is linked with the death of Bonnie.
