Fans are eagerly awaiting for Microsoft Surface Pro 5's launch in 2017, after the launch of the latest hybrid Tablet Surface Pro 4 in Oct. 2016. The expectations of fans and tech world are really high considering the resurgence and success of Microsoft devices.

As per Tech Radar, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be embedded with high-speed processor compared to its siblings-Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book. Rumors are doing rounds on the social media platforms like Reddit, Facebook and etc., about possible specs and fans' expectations of the new device.

According to Science Times, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is a compelling rival to Apple's MacBook Pro 2016. In fact, many of its features can beat its closest competitor at ease. Surface Pro 5 is presumably embedded with Intel Kaby Lake Processor, the most powerful processor just launched.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 may feature rechargeable Surface Pen, Hololens, 4k Display and USB Type-C multi-device connectivity. Like Surface Pro 4, this device also provides a 12.3-Inch display with a detachable keyboard. The device will roll out with the new Microsoft Windows 10 OS, which is due for release in April 2017.

Though at this point nothing much is known about other specs and features, one of the most important aspects of Microsoft Pro 5 could be its Stylus Pen. Microsoft recently received the patent for this Stylus pen, which can station on the magnetic charging dock. Surface Stylus Pen rivals with Apple Pencil, which recently received patent approval.

Fans are hoping that Microsoft retains the charm of Surface Pro 4 and kill the firmware issues found in its predecessor. Another burning issue is the over-rated battery life of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which the company promised to be able to offer nine hours of video playback, but, in reality, it delivers only five hours.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to have a starting price of $899 and the price goes higher with the configuration and specs being offered. The device is expected to be released sometime in October 2017, coinciding with the first anniversary of Surface Pro 4.
