Rumors and earlier leaks had suggested the supposed release of the Microsoft Surface Phone from the house of Microsoft this year. However, latest news had revealed that the Microsoft Surface Phone is not coming this year and will rather be released in the year 2019 by Microsoft.

Instead, another major flagship killer is expected to come to market from this major brand, which as per the prevailing speculations will be a Windows Phone 2017. Previously, Microsoft had tried to launch its Lumia brand to get a hold in the mobile market amidst Android and iOS operating systems but has failed to be successful and had to call off the brand altogether. This has led Microsoft to think over fresh as it has understood very well that surviving in a market dominated by players like Android and iOS is not everyone's cup of tea and Windows phone may not have quite a cakewalk job here.

In spite of saying all that, Microsoft's Windows Phone is probably coming in 2017 as a flagship killer that will be run by Snapdragon 835 processor chip along with a 6GB RAM although the whole thing is simply a possibility at present. Anticipations are still soaring higher, and it is being also said that the Windows Phone from Microsoft might be a foldable phone as well. Patents had been filed earlier this year by Microsoft that went viral on the virtual world arousing the possibilities of Microsoft Surface Phone too, revealed Trusted Reviews.

However, given the fact that Microsoft Surface Phone still has time to unveil, rumors regarding the same had died down. The patent clearly states that the foldable phone will be sort of a tablet with hinges in the middle that will allow it to be treated like a smartphone and the same can also be set as triangle form with the help of three hinges too. This technology, however, as tech blogs suggest, may be reserved for the Microsoft Surface Phone later on itself while Windows Phone may fight with the iPhones and Galaxy series that are very soon to be unleashed this year. Whether the Windows Phone carries the patent technology is not known as of now.
