‘Fast & Furious’ Stars Vin Diesel & Dwayne Johnson Feud Reach Boiling Point; Co-Stars Keep The Two Apart From Each Other
The feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson has reached a different level. The two stars of 'Fast & Furious 8' is reportedly having a feud. The disagreement stemmed from some comment made by the former wrestler turned Hollywood star.
The Los Angeles Times reveals that the feud was the result of a comment made by Johnson that he posted on his social media accounts. The remark goes: "Some conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don't." Co-star Tyrese Gibson quickly quashed any suspicion that he was the guy being referred to. He said that he has no idea with whom The Rock had a beef or what the issue is all about.
Reports reveal that Dwayne Johnson met with co-star Vin Diesel in order to clear the air about the comments he made on social media. The two stars allegedly had a disagreement during the shoot about certain artistic choices. Aside from playing Dominic in the movie, Vin Diesel also serves as producer, which gives him the power to make decisions, which the former WWE star disagreed on.
Dwayne Johnson was quite upset with his co-star for causing delays in the filming of the movie. On the other hand, Diesel revealed that the star of San Andreas was never the first choice for his role in Fast 5 but Tommy Lee Jones. In the end, the producers of the film went with Johnson because he was the popular choice.
The feud between the two stars had reached a higher level to the point that they were planning to settle their differences in a WWE ring during Wrestlemania 33. Yahoo reveals that although there is some friction between Johnson & Diesel, their feud had been intentionally exaggerated to create publicity for their upcoming movie "Fast & Furious 8" which opens this month.
Vin Diesel has between with the movie franchise since the first film while Dwayne Johnson joined the franchise in Fast 5. Jason Statham returns while Charlize Theron is added to the cast.
