The “Supergirl” season 2 finale has five episodes left and there are a lot of surprises fans must watch. One of those is the appearance of Mark Gibbon as superman villain General Zod.

General Zod, who is a long-time Superman villain, was reported to be joining the "Supergirl" season 2 finale. The character might also appear earlier this week, but The CW didn't yet release any confirmation about it.

However, according to CBR, Superman villain General Zod is confirmed to appear in the "Supergirl" Season 2 finale as Supergirl’s enemy. The character will be played by Mark Gibbon, who already appeared in two other Superman legends and in Smallville.

There are no revealed techniques of General Zod of how he can defeat the Girl of Steel in the “Supergirl” Season 2 finale. Nevertheless, the probable instance is that he might join forces with Rhea (Teri Hatcher), although this appeared to be highly impossible due to a feud between their races.

Another possibility is that General Zod will appear as a cameo preparing him to be the leading villain for the show's season 3. Furthermore, "Supergirl" Season 2 finale may also feature the comeback of Non (Chris Vance) who casts in the first season of the show.

According to Screen Rant, "Supergirl" Season 2 will also have a big surprise for Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima). Some previous casts will return in the remaining episodes of the series as well.

"Supergirl" Season 2 may not be as intense as other series such as "Arrow," "The Flash," and the "Legends of Tomorrow." However, lead star Melissa Benoist as the Supergirl will possibly face off Rhea again.

Superman, who played by Tyler Hoechlin and Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant will, likewise, return in the “Supergirl” Season 2 finale. The series airs every Mondays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
