Elon Musk, Tesla founder and chief executive, has announced that his latest company Neuralink is working to link the human brain with a machine interface by the creation of a device of the size of a micron.

The main aim of Neuralink is to design a product that can help the humans to fight certain severe injuries of the brain due to cancerous lesions, strokes, etc. to name a few. Elon Musk has said that his company will bring this device to the market in a period of about four years.

In a latest interview, Elon Musk has mentioned that his target is to connect the science of the brains of the human beings and how Neuralink is planning to connect it. The unique idea of artificial intelligence, along with machine learning will turn the computers so sophisticated that the humans will need to implant some "neural laces" in their brains to keep. This is what Elon Musk mentioned in a technical conference last year, revealed CNBC.

As per Business Standard, this technology may take about eight to ten years to become perfectly usable by the person without any disability. But this would be heavily depending on regulatory and the timing of approval that how well this would be working with the people with different types of disabilities. Elon Musk has plans of funding his company Neuralink mostly by himself which was registered in California as a medical research company in July last year.

Let us hope for the best that Musk's company can create such devices that have the capacity to merge brains of human beings and machine. If this mission is successful, then it can provide immense benefits to human beings which otherwise would not have been possible.
