Spring is near which means that Easter is right around the corner. This season marks the time for Easter egg hunts, a visit from the Easter bunny, and probably the best part: Easter desserts. Below are some delicious dessert recipes that will surely make Easter more enjoyable for adults and kids alike. 

Carrot Cake Sandwich Cookies 

According to Cooking Light these cookies are based on the classic whoopie pie. To make this delectable sandwich, bake carrot cookies using the recipe found here. Afterwards, take some cream cheese frosting and sandwich it between two carrot cake cookies.  

Coconut Bunny Cake 

The Food Network shared a recipe for a bunny cake that just might be too cute to eat. The cake is topped with coconut shavings for a nice "fluffy" bunny look. It takes one hour to prepare and serves 12  to 14 people. The recipe and picture of the cake can be found here.

Bunny Tail Bonbons 

This Easter treat from Southern Living will remind everyone of a bunny's cute, fluffy tail. It is made with white chocolate bars, cream cheese, and coconut cookies. To make these delectable tails, follow the recipe found here. 

Carrot Cake Topped with Bunny Macarons 

This delicious cake recipe from Community Table features a carrot cake infused with ginger and oranges. To top it all off, it is covered in cream cheese frosting and decorated with bunny-shaped macarons. Follow the recipe found here. It takes about an hour and 10 minutes to make a batch. 

Egg Cookies 

These cookies are not made of eggs despite their names. They are actually only egg shaped, which is achieved using cookie cutters. This is the perfect way to let the kids have some fun with Easter desserts by letting them decorate the cookies, states Cooking Light. The recipe can be found here.

Lemon Macaron Chicks 

These little macaron look like cute, tasty chicks thanks to a some jelly beans and mini chocolate chips, says the Food Network. The recipe, found here, can make up to 30 chicks in less than an hour. According to the site, this recipe is easy to follow so anyone can make these delicious chicks. 

Marshmallow Bunnies 

Community Table shares a recipe that combines two popular treats during Easter: marshmallows and chocolate. For this dessert, marshmallows are shaped into bunnies and dipped into chocolate. Kids could probably help decorate the dessert by giving the little marshmallow bunny bodies a cute face and maybe even a white, cotton tail. The recipe can be found here.
