Manny Pacquiao has reportedly been suffering from leg cramps. His trainers and Bob Arum are doing everything they can to alleviate the pain in the champion's leg including the purchase of an expensive cream to treat it.

According to Bleacher Report, Bob Arum tried to calm everyone worried about Pacman's fitness since the latter has been experiencing leg cramps. Arum spoke with New Standard and Ronnie Nathanielsz from Boxing Scene to confirm that the expensive cream bought to relieve the fighter of his pain was working.

Arum states, "The cream, which costs $1,800, was developed by people who are experts who really know. It is used extensively on basketball players and baseball pitchers."

Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, had the cream approved by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency before applying it on the fighter, reports Yahoo Sports.

Talking about his trainee's leg cramps, Roach said, "There's no magic cure for it. We're doing what we can do. I've got the doctors working on it. There are some Filipino guys here who are massaging it for him. The cream cost $1,800 for a single bottle. I wasn't too happy about that."

Yahoo Sports reports that the cream is expensive because Pacquiao does not have a U.S. insurance, so he had to pay the inflated retail cost.

Aside from massages and expensive creams, Coach Roach along with Pacquiao's conditioning coach, Justine Fortune, changed his training schedule due to his leg cramps, states Yahoo Sports. According to Boxing Scene, Arum confirmed that the champion boxer will not be running uphill anymore at Griffin Park.

Roach explains the change stating, "We did change his running schedule because I don't like him running the hills six days a week. I've got him on the track a lot more now doing fast sprint-type workouts instead of hill workouts."

He explains his decision further, "When he was young, it was OK, but he's getting a little older and the wear and tear of going up that hill, which is all concrete, is really not good for his legs. On the days he spars, he goes [to run at Pan Pacific Park], and on the other days, we go over to UCLA."

Meanwhile, Fortune told USA Today Sports the following statement: "I would like him to get up and move around at least, get out the stiffness from the work we have been doing. He is not going to run, but we will make up for it with the work we do later. I make it hard for him but he needs to suck it up. Fighting Mayweather is not easy, either. There are always consequences."

It seems that the Filipino underdog is training really hard for his fight against the undefeated Mayweather. He also seems to be in good hands with Arum, Roach, and Fortune guiding him.
