Floyd Mayweather has been trying several methods while training for his big fight on May 2 with Manny Pacquaio. According to the Inquirer, the WBA and WBC welterweight champion is now trying out his swimming legs.

The boxing champ recently posted a video of one of his training sessions on Instagram which showed him working out at a pool, reports Mirror UK. The video of Mayweather's training can be seen below.

The boxer is shown doing some boxing exercises in the pool before swimming a few laps. Daily Mail adds that Mayweather is "testing his muscles against the resistance of the water. "

With the undefeated champion is Coach Alex Ariza, who used to work with Manny Pacquiao, but has seemingly switched sides, reports the Inquirer. The video received several negative comments since Mayweather posted it on Instagram.

Some of the comments poke fun at the champ's swimming form or lack thereof. A comment by bigbadcard states, "Not only can Floyd not take a punch, he can't swim...lol." While Paolodmanuel comments, "Floyd, are you drowning? @fule_kevin."

Coach Roach, who has been training with Pacquiao for years now, also had something to say about Mayweather's new training method, states World Boxing News. Roach said, "Sounds like we should start calling him Floyd "Flipper" Mayweather."

The seven-time Trainer of the Year Hall of Famer also stated, "Team Mayweather would be wise to add a lifeguard to their corner on fight night because Manny is taking "Mr. 47 and 1" into deep water. Swimming lessons or whatever he thinks he is doing will not help him survive the shark-infested waters he will be entering on May 2. I'm betting his little buddy Justin Bieber will be walking him into the ring singing (the Flipper them)."

Mayweather has been taking his training for the match against Pacquiao very seriously, even hiring a personal chef to strictly follow a healthy diet. According to Next Shark, the boxer is reportedly paying Chef Q $1000 a plate to prepare his meals.

Chef Q talked a little about her boss' diet plan. She said that no fast food is allowed during this time. Next Shark states, "Chef Q is preparing meals that are low-carb, high in protein and includes lots of vegetables."

To go with these healthy meals, Chef Q says Mayweather is drinking a lot of natural juices to get the vitamins and minerals his body needs. She prepares juices that contain fresh and organic fruits and vegetables like spinach and watermelon.
