Jordan 11 'Breds' Low Release Date on May 23: 'True Red' Price & Where to Buy?

One of the latest retro kicks from the Jordan Brand is making a comebcak -- the Air Jordan 11 Retro Low in 'True Red' is coming up this May.

The next Air Jordan sneakers to be released in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Jordan Brand, the Air Jordan XI Retro Low comes in the classic color combination of Black and True Red, aka "Breds".

According to Nike's website, each pair will go on sale for $170 and is limited to only 1 pair per customer. It will be released starting May 23, 2015, Saturday at 10:00 am EDT. It will be sold online at Nike.com, Footlocker, and at selected Jordan Brand retail centers.

According to Sneaker Bar Detroit, the shoes were announced last September 2014 and references the classic and original high-top Air Jordan 11 "Bred."

In the official photos of the Air Jordan XI Retro Low, it has a full black mesh and leather upper. It sports a "formal look" in black, red, and white by using a patent leather overlay on the mudguard that is used for the first time in any type of sports footwear.

Its color combination is tastefully incorporated to bring the kicks its own distinctive look. The "blacks" are featured in the tongue, insole, stitches, and the shoelaces. The outsole, sock lining, and some of the Jumpman logos found on the pair are colored in varying shades of red. While the midsole is highlighted in white.

According to the Flight Club, Air Jordan is the brand of sneakers produced for the legendary basketball star, Michael Jordan. Since its first release in 1985, it has carried the "Jumpman" signature which is the silhoutte of the man himself. Jordan sneakers have zoomed through the years with impressive eye-popping color combinations, graphic prints, and innovative designs.

The history of Air Jordan series goes way back in 1984 with Air Jordan 1. It was the time when Michael Jordan won an Olympic Gold Medal and a national title at the North Carolina University. According to Foot Locker, the first series heralded the trend of colorful basketball shoes. Michael also wore a pair of Air Jordan I during the 1986 playoffs with the Boston Celtics. The succeeding series following the first one featured various upgrades in quality and look that continues to this day.
