Symptoms of pregnancy can show up in the first few weeks at the earliest. While the surest way to find out is a pregnancy test or a visit to the OB, here are early pregnancy signs to know if you're expecting.

1.) Fatigue or Feeling Very Tired for No Reason

The feeling of fatigue is one of the most common signs of pregnancy. According to American Pregnancy, fatigue is common during the first trimester, dwindles during the second trimester and then returns during the third trimester. Since not all pregnancies are the same, fatigue or the lack thereof may vary among women.

2.) Tender and Swollen Breasts and/ or Nipples

This is considered to be the first early physical sign of pregnancy. According to Women's Health, the reason why the breasts are sore is because the body is preparing itself with increased production of estrogen and progesterone for breastfeeding.

3.) Morning Sickness (Nausea or Increased Queasiness and Vomiting)

Although no one knows the exact reason why pregnancy brings in queasiness and vomiting, it is a sure sign that you could be pregnant. According to What to Expect, not all women will experience morning sickness and not all women experience it the same way, too. Keeping food down might be hard when you are experiencing the symptoms but this does not hurt the baby growing inside you because it is too little to have any nutritional needs yet.

4.) Frequent Urination

This is another early sign of pregnancy, Baby Center says. It starts as early as six weeks during the first trimester and is brought about by hormonal changes that cause the bladder to be filled up more quickly.

5.) Food Cravings or Aversion

Pregnant women have a weird hankering for strange food or extreme aversion to the smell, sight, and taste of their favorite food. This phenomenon is one of the early signs of pregnancy. It is unknown why craving or aversion to certain foods happens, but it is considered normal, according to WebMD.

6.) Backaches

If you've developed back pain or feel like your lower back is sore, Parenting.com says that this is the loosening of ligaments due to pregnancy. This will continue throughout the term as you gain weight and shift the center of your gravity for your baby.

7.) Mood Swings

Pregnancy brings in the hormones that can cause you to get angry one moment and then feeling mellow next. According to The Bump, the hormone levels of your body causes a shift on your brain chemistry, resulting to certain mood swings.

8.) Cramping

Mild tummy cramps are considered to be normal during early pregnancy. Bounty.com says that this is due to the physical changes your body undergoes while it prepares for the growth of the baby.
