Although Caitlyn Jenner has publicly proclaimed that she has found true happiness after her transformation, the 65-years-old reality star admits to having a small panic attack the morning after her last operation.

The morning after the final procedure that turned Bruce Jenner into Caitlyn, the Olympic gold medalist revealed that she woke up in a bit of a frenzy, reports Anxiety.org.

Caitlyn woke up to the first panic attack in her life the morning after completing her transition as a woman, reports E! News. She remembers thinking that morning, "What did I just do? What did I just do to myself."

E! News had an exclusive interview with Caitlyn's plastic surgeons, Dr. Alter and Dr. Lee, about the celebrity's multiple surgeries. Dr. Alter admitted that the transformed star panicked a little after the surgery.

Referring to Caitlyn's minor panic attack, Dr. Alter explained, "It's not because she had facial feminization or body surgery, it's just because this was a major change."

"It's difficult to suddenly get the realization, I guess, that you're getting fulfillment of what you've always wanted to have done," Alter added.

He went on to say: "You know, long surgery, a lot of changes - so there was a little bit of a panic attack. But it could happen to anybody. It can happen to the housewife that gets a facelift, it can happen to a young girl who gets a breast implant."

E! reports that Caitlyn has gone under the knife for facial surgery and breast implants. As of now, Jenner has not had any genital surgery and there is no talk of having any other procedures in the near future.

According to Anxiety.org, transgender people often deal with high levels of anxiety and depression, which can lead to panic attack similar to the one Caitlyn experienced post-operation.

Insecurity, self-hatred and other mental health issues can also result from the increased stress and depression transgenders often feel after the big change.

In Caitlyn's case, the frequent and often intense media coverage her transition went through probably increased her anxiety levels, resulting in her minor panic attack.

Despite her little anxiety attack, Caitlyn seems to be leading a perfectly peaceful life as a woman. She has gathered an enormous amount of support from the community as a whole.

A major sign of the support for Caitlyn and her struggles is the fact that she recently won the Arthur Ashe Courage Awards. Caitlyn is due to receive the award this July at the ESPYS.
