'Frozen 2' Movie Plot Rumors: 3 Biggest Storyline Predictions

Disney announced that the hit blockbuster animated movie "Frozen" will have an official sequel.

Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel are set to reprise their roles as sisters Princess Anna and Queen Elsa of Arendelle. Not much is known about the plot sequel, so speculations and rumors abound with the sequel's storyline and movie plot.

There has been scarce information about the much-awaited sequel. Only "Frozen" director Jennifer Lee and co-director Chris Buck are confirmed to be coming back to make the second movie, according to the International Business Times. "Frozen 2" is speculated to be released in 2018.

Many fan theories have populated the internet. Some are way too dark or bizarre, while others have fans going into a tizzy.

One rumor about a possible storyline revolves around Elsa and Olaf. After Anna got Kristoff in the original movie, it may be Elsa's turn to find a potential love interest, and according to a report by Latino Post, some fingers may be pointing to Olaf. 

What was once a just a lump of snow, Olaf came magically alive through Elsa's powers. He is portrayed to be caring, friendly, and having a fondness for warm hugs.

If it's not Olaf, it could be another character. Since casting and characters haven't been made publicly available, it's possible that the sequel will cast a prince or a future romantic partner for Elsa.

Another theory suggests a new threat for the kingdom of Arendelle where Queen Elsa will be battling an evil king. According to Youth Health Mag, the sequel could be based off of the plot from L. Frank Baum's book called "Ozma of Oz."

A report on VCPost stated that Buck already has an ending for the sequel, and that the team is still figuring out how the story will go along the way.

The "Frozen" sequel and "Ozma of Oz", will be quite similar "because Anna of Arendelle and Dorothy of Kansas have a lot of characteristics in common. Both books have a theme of having the power within and just figuring out what to do with it for the best interest of everyone involved," according to the report.

The second movie could possibly be a prequel about the origin of Elsa's magical powers and the creatures in the kingdom. According to another VCPost report, the story could flash back to when the King of Arendelle sought the help of the "book with a map" in the library to lead him to the trolls who cure Anna.
