PlayStation fans will be receiving six free exclusive games for PS3, PS4, and PS Vita from their PS Plus membership for the month of July.

For July 2015, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be receiving four playable PS4 games, two of which are compatible with PS3 and PS Vita and two exclusives for PS3 and PS Vita only, according to the PlayStation Blog.

All the free games will be available on July 7, 2015 for both North America and Europe.

The first in the list is "Rocket League," a multiplayer arcade game for PS4 that centers on rocket-powered cars and teamwork to score points.

Next is "Styx: Master of Shadows," a dark fantasy stealth game that is sure to attract RPG fans.

The first in the two cross-buy titles is "Entwined," an adventure game that spans a surreal storyline of going through nine lifetimes in the form of a bird and fish. The player goes through the game by making the two characters meet and become united in eternity.

If you're in to puzzle games, "MouseCraft" may be for you. The player controls the mice towards the cheese through different difficulty levels that is sure to challenge new and seasoned puzzle masters.

The exclusive PS3 game is "Rain," a tale where a boy goes on a journey where he uses protective powers of the rain to save, not just any girl but, an invisible girl from ghostly creatures. The game comes in story book art style and speechless narrative with atmospheric music.

The last game in six titles is an exclusive for the PS Vita. "Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved" is a shooter game involving a lot of geometric shapes and reportedly was just bought for the handheld device.

Meanwhile, Sony has released the 2.55 update for the PS4 which will be made mandatory for all PS4 consoles. According to GameSpot, the update is to address its software stability issues and is relatively light as it follows a major update.

The previous update, Yukimura, delivered numerous new features such as Suspend/Resume, hard-drive back-up, and Facebook Friend Finder.

The Suspend/Resume feature reportedly allows PS4 players to put their games into Rest Mode so they can quickly resume the game where they left off. The hard-drive back-up feature allows PS4 owners to back up and restore their hard disc games to an external USB drive including saved data, settings, screenshots, games, patches, video clips, and download data. The Friend Finder allows PS4 owners with linked accounts to search for their friends on Facebook.
