Fans of the American horror-drama television series "The Walking Dead" are still to wait for a few months before the show comes back to AMC in October this year.

In the season 5 finale, the show's human survivors have begun settling in the new community called "Alexandria Safe Zone." The later episodes of the fifth season were focused more on human conflicts than that of their undead counterparts and some fans are speculating that the show could have big changes in the sixth season.

1. Season 6 could have more Alexandria action.

The sixth season of "The Walking Dead" is now being filmed at Manchester, Georgia, according to Melty. The website also added that fans could expect to have more scenes set in Alexandria in the next season.

Writer and producer Scott M. Gimple has been teasing viewers of what's to come to the show by saying that "things are going to get very big, loud and scary," reports Entertainment Weekly.

"Season 6 for a good while now, humans have been the bigger threat. At the start of our next season, that will change. I said the show reinvents itself every 8 eps, and we're doing it again, friendos," Gimple's note said.

"Now that these characters know they have what it takes to survive, what are they going to do with that power? How will they choose to live? Beyond answering those questions, we're currently putting into motion some of our most ambitious stuff yet..."

2. Corey Hawkins has been cast as Heath.

According to Den of Geek, Heath is a prominent character straight out of the comic book. Heath is a supply-runner turned zombie-herder and he will be played by Corey Hawkins. The coming of Heath may put Glenn Rhee fans and comic book readers on the edge, as there are pivotal storylines surrounding the two in the comics.

3. 'W' could mean Wolves or The Whisperers

According to the International Business Times, the TV show could introduce a new band of human antagonists to wreak havoc on the lives of the remaining survivors. If it isn't the Wolves next season, it could be The Whisperers, a group of mysterious survivors who wear roamers' skins to blend in. With all these rumors and announcements floating on the internet, it can't be helped if it's only a rumor. However, it is worth bringing up because Morgan was shouting about people wearing faces.
