Johnny Depp once again reprises his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the upcoming movie from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise.

Depp, 22, has been snapped by paparazzi as he was filming the fifth movie "Dead Men Tell No Tales," on their Gold Coast, Queensland set, The Daily Mail reports. Website Coming Soon reports that the fifth movie will be released on July 7, 2017.

As the heat got high under the Australia sun, Depp could be seen on the set, with his sweat being wiped off by some of the crew. In filming the stunt scenes, the actor was hooked to a safety harness while the pirate ship set was decked with safety nets.

According to the Sunday Telegraph, "Dead Men Tell No Tales" is the most expensive movie ever made in Australia.

In the new movie, Depp will be joined by Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar and Orlando Bloom as William Turner. There are rumors that Brenton Thwaites will play Henry, William Turner and Elizabeth Swan's (played by Keira Knightley) son.

Variety reported that Bloom's character, Will, is set to play a bigger role in the upcoming movie. Geoffrey Rush will also reprise his role as Hector Barbossa, and actress Golshifteh Farahani has also been added to the cast.

What is known so far is that Will Turner and Elizabeth had a son at the third movie "At World's End" and that Davy Jones was dead. According to a report by the International Business Times, it was Turner who took to the task that Jones left behind. It is unknown and not yet confirmed whether Thwaites will be playing the role of Turner's son or if he will be introduced as a new character.

As a newcomer to the franchise, Thwaites provided insight to the plot of the movie.

"It's about a young man who wants to reconnect with his father, Davy Jones," Thwaites told the Mirror. "There's a curse that prevents him from doing that. I think it's about how he goes around that and tries to fix it and he has to save his dad," he said.

Hollywoord Reporter says that the new movie will center on the Trident of Poseidon, which has long been famed and mentioned in the movie summary of its power over the seas. It is rumored that the Trident will be used to fend off Captain Salazar, Captain Sparrow's old nemesis. It seems that the old cast and the new characters will go through a whole new adventure in the franchise's new movie.
