'Fantastic Four' Reboot Movie Trailer, Release Date & Cast: Dr. Doom Teased; Film Won't be in 3D

The latest and final trailer for Marvel and Fox Studios' reboot of the "Fantastic Four" movie has shown a number of very interesting aspects and has given audiences a glimpse of the movie's main antagonist, Dr. Doom.
The trailer's release came days after Fox promoted the movie at the San Diego Comic-Con International. Though Fox's announcement was geared towards the franchise's fans, it was overshadowed by previews of "Deadpool" and "X-Men: Apocalypse," titles which were also from the same studio, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Far from just giving the audience a very brief preview of the tone of the movie, the latest trailer opens with a pre-origin story, showing a young Reed Richards as a student with a knack for science, bragging to his classmates about his teleportation device and causing massive blackouts in the city, reports Rolling Stone.
The trailer also gives a glimpse of the four superheroes' fateful accident in an alternate universe, which leaves Reed Richards, siblings Johnny and Sue Storm, and Ben Grimm with powers that are no less than otherworldly.
The final highlight of the trailer, however, is the reveal of the superheroes' main antagonist, Dr. Doom, played by actor Tony Kebbell.
"This is the end of your world, and the beginning of mine," Kebbell, playing Dr. Doom, ominously said.
Kebbell, who played Koba in the "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," has also revealed that the origin of the character will stay pretty close to the character development in the original comic book story, according to The International Business Times.
"Yeah, he's still from the same place. His mother is still a gypsy and done her deals. His father still perished from exposure looking after me," Kebbell said.
He added: "He's angry. He's an angry dude. But now he's in Baxter. He's bright and he's trying to make people proud. He found a new father in Dr. Storm, the father of Johnny and adoptive father of Sue."
Kebbell further said that Dr. Doom in the movie will be working as a computer technician, debunking previous rumors that the character will be portrayed as a hacker.
In the comics, Dr. Doom's powers include technopathy, electricity manipulation and endurance, as well as force field generation. The character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
Director Josh Trank has stated that the movie will be released in 2D, not in 3D as originally planned. The director has stated that he wanted the experience of the movie "to remain as possible for the audience, which means 2D, just as we shot the movie."
Fantastic Four will be released in 2D on July 6 in the United States, reports Tweak Town. The movie stars the young cast of Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell.
