Following the shocking news of the divorce of Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, it seems the "Transformers" star will likely pay for her ex-husband's spousal support.

According to the report by TMZ, Brian Austin Green had not worked steadily since last December ever since he was injured in a car accident. The couple was inside their car when they were hit by a drunk driver in a head-on collision. Green explained that the guy was operating the vehicle at about 50 MPH, and the impact was so strong that the airbags were activated. The website added that although neither Fox nor Green was harmed. However, Brian acquired vertigo, a medical condition that affects a patient's balance. Apparently, the former "Beverly Hills 90210" star's vertigo is so bad some days that the actor cannot get out of bed.

According to WebMD, vertigo is most likely caused by an inner ear problem and can cause dizzy spells or sensation of spinning. People who have the condition describe the symptoms like they are tilting, swaying, spinning and unbalanced.

Some of the most common causes of vertigo are Meniere's disease, vestibular neuritis or BBPV. Other lesser known causes of the condition include migraine headaches, head or neck injury, stroke or brain tumor, and some medications that are strong enough to effect in ear damage.

CBS News reports that Fox has steady income coming from acting in movies and such. The news site suggests that Fox may be earning more than Green and that his chances at looking for work after his condition in the car accident.

Metro reports that the couple ended their marriage six months ago for "irreconcilable differences." The couple had been together for a total of 11 years and has two sons, Noah and Bodhi. The date of separation was listed as June 15 by Fox herself.

"Megan and Brian's split is a classic Hollywood story of two people in different stages of life and career," an uncited source close to Fox told PEOPLE magazine. "Megan is young and hot and sought-after for work, and she is eager to move ahead in her career. Brian wants more of her time than she can allow."

The magazine added that Fox was unable to keep up with the expectations of her children and husband. This resulted into disagreements and arguments that finally led to their divorce.

"Megan has always been career-oriented and noted because she was so beautiful," the source continued.  "Now she is being recognized for her talent, and like anyone else with Hollywood ambitions, she wants to pursue those options. The timing just wasn't working for her relationship."
