Konami has finally released its final installment to the Metal Gear Solid franchise, states PC Mag. "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" debuted yesterday, Sept. 1.

Below are a few tips and tricks to help players survive the dangerous open-space regions of the game: Afghanistan and Angola.

#1. Get The Interpreter:

At the beginning of the game, there is a side mission that requires players to bring a Russian soldier back to the base and work as an interpreter. This mission is not required, but Forbes advises gamers to take the mission as it will be helpful later in the game.

Picking up the Russian soldier will allow gamers to hear and interrogate guards later on in the game. Gamers can find out all about hidden items, specialists, prisoners from talking to guards. In addition, talking to guards will help gamers mark enemies in their maps.

#2: Use Snake's binoculars all the time:

Snake's binoculars are by far the most useful tool in MGS V. To get the most out of the binoculars, VG24/7 suggests finding a good vantage point. Fortunately, the terrain of the game offers plenty of hills and mountains, which are perfect vantage points.

According to Kotaku, using the binoculars will allow gamers to survey and assess the enemy base. Gamers will also get to tag the enemy, while using the binoculars.

Tagging will allow gamers to keep track of their enemies from where they are to how they are moving, reports Forbes. The good news is that tags stay intact for the entire mission, even if gamers restart.

#3. Do not neglect Snake's HQ Mother Base:

Kotaku warns against neglecting Mother Base. Forbes recommends stealing everything, even men to help upgrade Snake's HQ.

Stolen objects can be used to build a better base or can be sold to buy items needed for HQ. Meanwhile, kidnapping enemies can help increase Mother Base's ranks.

Improving the Mother Base will make your support team more effective. Remember to manage your staff, expand the base's platforms, and develop new weapons. Unlock combat units as you play as well and contantly deploy them.

#4. Change up your tactics:

According to Kotaku, enemy soldiers in "Phantom Pain" can adapt to the tactics of gamers. So, using the same strategies or moves over and over again will not be beneficial in the long-run.

#5. Always have an exit strategy:

As with any mission that requires stealth and infiltration, it is always important to know how you are exiting the premises.
