Mark Ruffalo recently revealed on an Italian website, called Bad Taste, that The Hulk will not be making an appearance in "Captain America: Civil War."

Ruffalo explained on the website that his character was originally removed from the script, but was later removed, translated ComingSoon.net.

"I was in the script but then they removed my character...I don't even know if Hulk will be back soon," said Ruffalo.

Recalling the end of "Avengers: Age of Ultron," viewers will remember that the Hulk was last seen on a jet flying to no man's land, reports The Bustle. After reaking havoc due to Scarlett Witch's hex, Banner decided to stay away from Black Widow and his fellow Avengers after defeating Ultron.

Apparently, Marvel has bigger plans for The Hulk, which simply does not fit into the storyline of "Captain America 3." Even Director Joss Wedon claims that Marvel's plans for Dr. Banner are "too amazing," reports Movie Fone.

It would seem that The Hulk's future is so amazing that even Ruffalo is being kept out of the loop. He had very little to say about The Hulk's future. "... I thought that would be in [Captain America 3], but in the end, they evidently believed that the reveals of what happened to the Hulk was too big. And Marvel want to save that information for later," said Ruffalo.

He added, "Who knows maybe the Hulk will never return. They want to keep the revelation of what happened to him a secret, because it's something really big."

However, there maybe some clues to The Hulk's disappearance in the comics. IGN states that the third installment to the First Avenger's storyline closely follows the plot in the comics. So, Marvel Studios might do the same with The Hulk's storyline.

According to the Marvel comics database, there is a period in time in which The Hulk leaves Earth altogether. This timeline may be known to Marvel comic fans as Planet Hulk.

In the Planet Hulk series, Banner is sent away from Earth on a spaceship made by S.H.I.E.L.D. Banner eventually lands on Planet Sakaar, where his is forced to fight as a gladiator in the Imperial Arena.

If Banner is indeed in Planet Sakaar, a stand-alone Hulk movie could be possible, especially since Marvel seems to be planning something really big for the green Avenger.

A hint to The Hulk's whereabouts may even show up during the end reel of "Captain America: Civil War." According to Cinema Blend, "Captain America 3" will premiere on May 6, 2016.
