With Oliver Queen out, for the mean time apparently, someone needs to step up to protect the people of Starling City. And with rumors that David Ramsey's character, John Diggle, will look evidently different come season 4, many fans are anticipating what will happen to Oliver's level-headed sidekick.

Well, it looks like the Green Lantern rumors can be laid to rest because The CW has finally unveiled John's new costume, Cinema Blend writes. With a Magneto-inspired helmet, black leather jacket and a very intimidating stare, John looks like a vigilante that one wouldn’t want to mess with. The only thing lacking is a big, monster bike and he appears ready to fight crime, preferably with a nickname to go with the outfit.

The suited up John will appear in "Arrow" season 4's premiere episode debuting next month, possibly to take Oliver's place in his absence. This is also probably the reason why he felt the need to hide and conceal his identity.

Furthermore, the writers made a good choice of spicing up his character, rather than changing him into something like Green Lantern because John has his own strengths and doesn’t require any superpowers to fight off evil.

The Hollywood Reporter adds that according to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, John will be the leader for the mean time as season 4 will be filled with big villains like Damien Darhk and his HIVE. It will be a great motivation for John as this group is known to be behind the murder of his brother. However, Kreisberg states that Damien may be too much for John to handle alone; thus Oliver will be brought back to lend a helping hand.

Now, International Business Times reports that once Oliver returns, he will be officially using the name Green Arrow and although no details have been provided yet as to how this is going to happen, fans are can feast their eyes on the improved costume.

The improved, green hooded armor with bracers makes Oliver look more like a superhero. The CW poster, which has been released to promote the return of the series, has been aptly captioned "Aim. Higher." which fans believe could mean there are bigger things at stake for the hooded vigilante this time around.

All these questions will be laid to rest as "Arrow" season 4 premieres on October 7 at The CW.
