Aquaman and his talking-to-fish superpower have been the butt of all jokes among comic book fans and superhero aficionados, mostly because they believe he is nothing more than a pretty face compared to all his Justice League co-members.

However, "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor Jason Momoa reveals that a totally different Aquaman will grace the big screen in next year's epic movie.

Entertainment Weekly writes that Momoa told fans at a recent Fan Expo in Canada that although the jokes about Aquaman are cute and funny, it would be wise to wait for the movie to come out before they start making him the comic relief.

The "Game of Thrones" actor shares that he is amazed with the mythology surrounding his character and his backstory is pretty amazing. He reveals that many surprises will be coming and Zack Snyder, the director of the film, has a whole new and different Aquaman in mind when he was filming "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Movie Pilot adds that although the solo movie of Aquaman will not be happening anytime soon, there are rumors that Momoa's character will be vastly transformed, not only in terms of appearance but as to how he will be played as the ruler of Atlantis. Of course, it might be less barbaric than Momoa's portrayal of Khal Drogo (he jokingly said Aquaman will not be raping any villages soon). He also shares he can't see himself cracking jokes just like how DC has portrayed his character, so everything is going to be new.

It might be difficult to imagine how important Aquaman's role is in the upcoming "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" film, Movie Pilot adds, but it'll probably surprise everyone. A possible twist could be that Aquaman will be having some beef with Superman, which will end when they are forced to fight with a common enemy. Or, as Cinema Blend writes, with Aquaman known to have the strength and durability that is able to rival that of Superman's, maybe he can rise to fame just like how Thor did in the Marvel world?

Let's wait and see as to how things turn up for Jason Momoa's Aquaman when "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is unveiled on March 25, 2016.
