"Attack on Titan" season 2 spoilers have been spreading throughout the Internet lately, including one painful rumor that one of the main characters is going to die. Most of the rumors are based from the events that occur in the manga.

According to Vine Report, Captain Levi is expected to die in season 2 of the anime. The infamous squad leader's death will be based off of chapter 73 of the manga, states Franchise Herald.

Levi is a squad leader in the Survey Corps, aka the Scouting Legion. He also happens to be one of the best fighters on the show. He will reportedly die a hero after saving a new squad, which consists of the Shiganshina trio: Eren Yaeger, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert.

Besides news of Levi's eminent death, there are rumors spreading that Ymir and Kristina Lenz will be featured in season two of "Attack on Titan." Vine Report explains that in the manga Lenz is actually Historia Reiss, the daughter of Rod Reiss.

Kpop Starz elaborates that in the sixth arc of the manga titled, "The Uprising," the situation inside Wall Rose becomes dangerous following the killing of Pastor Nick and the kidnapping of Eren and Historia. Erwin also learns about the king's actions, which could put humanity in jeopardy, and as a result, he stages a coup d' etat against the government.

For those who are unfamiliar with "Attack on Titan," the anime version is based off of a magna, titled "Shingeki no Kyojin." The anime adaptation has closely followed the manga so far, leading many fans to believe the season 2 will do the same.

It must be noted that Levi's death and the appearance of Kristina Lens and Ymir is based off of the manga's story line. It has not yet been confirmed if season 2 will follow the manga strictly.

However, the executives behind the popular anime series have revealed that they would like the anime version to represent the original content exactly. In fact, director Tetsuro Araki has states that the anime's development will have to wait until the manga's story line further progresses.

So far, the first season of "Attack on Titan" has covered four story arcs of the manga, which is equivalent to 34 chapters, including: "The Fall of Shiganshina," "104th Trainees Squad," "Battle of Trost District," and finally "The Female Titan."

Season one left off with Eren's titan counterpart defeating Annie's titan. The last episode left fans with even more questions than at the beginning of the series. People still do not know why Titans prefer eating humans, or what their origins are.
