Getting enough energy all throughout the day is crucial to make that day productive and stress-free. However, occasionally, people will lose energy, probably because they forgot to eat breakfast or are feeling tired and sleepy.

Coffee might be a quick fix but if you need something with sustenance and a healthier option, here is a list of three bite-sized energy boosters that can help you feeling fab from drab.

MACA ENERGY BITES

For those who are watching what they eat and prefer something organic or whole foods, My Whole Food Life suggests making a five-minute treat from maca root powder. If you are unfamiliar with this superfood, it is a like a potato because it belongs to the tuber family. It can act as a natural energy booster and can also ease hormonal issues like menopause and infertility.

You will need:

Half a cup of pepitas
Half a cup of sunflower seeds
Half a cup of pistachios
A tbsp of maca powder
A tbsp of chia seeds
10 pcs dates
A tsp of sea salt
3 tbsp of water

What to do:

1. Grind pistachios, chia seeds, pepitas, sunflower seeds, maca and sea salt together. Add the dates then continue to pulse.
2. Add in the water, one tbsp at a time to form a dough.
3. Roll into balls then keep in the fridge to make it firm.

PUMPKIN NO-BAKE ENERGY BITES

Pumpkin is easily one of the most satiating yet low-caloric vegetables in the market. Rich in fiber, has a lot of antioxidants, vitamin A and a natural energy booster, Gimme Some Oven shares a fall energy bite that everyone will love. What more, you can put this as a Halloween treat and trick those kids into thinking they're eating candy.
