A quick recap of last season showed the audience how Fitz threw out his First Lady Mellie, played by Bellamy Young, after he found out that she was responsible for squealing the names of the B-613 jurors to Olivia's evil dad Rowan, played by Joe Morton. After feeling betrayed, he found the perfect distraction waiting for him on the Truman balcony, his one and true love Olivia. Apparently, Olivia said goodbye to Jake, played by Scott Foley, and allowed her guards down by deciding to stick with Fitz.

Entertainment Weekly reveals that as the fifth season unfolds, the audience will either be delighted or disgusted to know that political fixer Olivia and President Grant are now together, living their dreams of going legitimate. Series creator Shonda Rhimes believes its about time to let everything change for the two star-crossed lovers. Rhimes shares Olivia has already come around, basically because she has done enough healing last season.

Washington is also excited for her character's uncharted situation because she wants to know what will happen if Olivia does her own rules and practices what she tells everybody about telling the truth. Goldwyn shares Washington's sentiments, saying that his character, Fitz, knows exactly what will happen if their secret affair goes public. So what happens now to Mellie and Cyrus, played by Jerry Perry? Rhimes teases she can change her mind any time.

With "Scandal" season 5 to premiere this coming September 24th, many fans are anticipating what episode one will be like, International Business Times writes. Besides trying to figure out what will happen to Mellie, Cyrus, and Huck, played by Guillermo Diaz, after deciding to partake in Rowan's plans, everyone will see a tragic royal visit from the Queen of Caldonia.
