The steps are easy and just the gamers need to follow the step perfectly without any errors. Here's how gamers can use a Japanese PSN Account on PS Vita without getting the data wiped as taught by Kotaku.

1. Gamers would need PS Vita, a PS Vita memory card, a wireless internet connection and the PS Vita's charging cable.

2. Gamers would need a Japanese PSN Account.

3. First of all, back up the PS Vita with the help of separate Vita memory card to use with the Japanese VPN.

4. Secondly, change the PS Vita region settings to Japan.

5. After that, format the PS Vita memory card.

6. It's done.

These clear-cut instructions are very easy to follow. The gamers can also go back to their original PSN account by just restoring the PS Vita to its original factory setting and inserting the other PS Vita memory card with the PSN setting which is original.

Gamers can even have two PS Vita memory cards; one can be used for the original account and one for the Japanese account. The process is faster in this case. Just while changing memory cards, when it asks whether you want to format the memory card, make sure it is selected as "No".
