Apple is preparing to gift new surprise for the iPhone users. The Cupertino-based tech giant this time creates a new development to bring the fingerprint-reading touchscreen.

AppleInsider reported that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted the patent for the "interactive display panel with IR diodes". This method will help Apple to bring changes in the iPhone. With the new patent, the tech giant will create a virtual home button that will exist within the touchscreen.

That means the new Apple iPhone may not have the common home button. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has published this fact on Tuesday. The published story reveals that the common physical home button of the iPhone that is present below the screen will be no more available.

The above mentioned interactive display actually incorporates the micro-LED sensing technology. So far most of the Apple mobile devices have the matrix hardware, but this time the tech giant wants to introduce a more developed technology. CNET reported that Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, first introduced a home button as the point of navigation in the iPhone in 2007.

The tradition continued from 2007 to 2013 to all the mobile devices of Apple. For the first time reports were surfacing about the elimination of the home button in 2013. The same year the tech company invented Touch ID to provide the fingerprint security sensor.

With the introduction of this unique feature the users now easily bypass the typing of a password. Apple iPhone 5S was the first mobile device that got this feature. Currently, the home button of the iPhone contains the Touch ID sensor.

Two years ago in 2015 for the first time, Apple applied for the current fingerprint patent that included the existence of sensor beneath the touchscreen. It is obvious that the Cupertino-based tech giant will try to move forward to maintain their top place in the current tech competition. A touchscreen that can act as an input device and as a fingerprint scanner must save space and provide a great flexibility for the users.

The invention of the fingerprint sensor reading is not an easy task as it needs an accurate touchscreen. The truth is when the name of the tech company is Apple, then impossible can be a difficult term. Users and followers of this tech giant are now waiting to see the implementation of this technology.
