Chinese smartphone makers omit OnePlus 4 in the series since the number four is considered as a bad luck in the China. The OnePlus 5 is going to be the successor of OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T released in 2016.

According to the translated report of Chinese news outlet called PCPop, the OnePlus 5 is likely to arrive in an all-screen design with small bezels. The device doesn’t have a physical home button, and its fingerprint sensor will be placed at the back of the phone similar to Samsung Galaxy S8. The only difference is, OnePlus will situate it more at the center than what Samsung did.

The OnePlus 5 is going also to have a 5.5-inch screen with 2K resolution, 3,000 mAh battery. For a great photography experience, the handset will sport a 23- megapixel dual-lens rear camera with optical image stabilization and optical zoom. The most awaited device will only be 7mm thick.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 5 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip alongside up to 8GB of RAM. This might sound amazing but the OnePlus 3 was released last year containing 6GB of RAM.

According to BGR, there's no announcement yet regarding the release date and how much will be the cost of the OnePlus 5. But basing on the company’s history, people could assume that the device will have a summer release and a budget price tag.

The OnePlus 5 appears to be another flagship killer smartphone following the success of the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, Digit reported. It is likely to be the highly anticipated mobile device of 2017 as depicted from its specifications that were circulating online.

There's no assurance if OnePlus will package any intense function feature such as the virtual reality or augmented reality. The OnePlus 5 sporting two rear camera structure is a thread among the majority of Chinese smartphone creators.
