1. Consider you coffee consumption - There are a couple of benefits that you can get from daily coffee consumption. It is believed to reduce heart disease and blood pressure. However, the catch is, watch what you add in your coffee. While milk and sugar will make your coffee taste a lot better, but the calories from these can really add up.

Pop Sugar suggested healthy breakfast alternatives like high-protein whole-grain oatmeal, whole-grain toast and egg whites. However, for people on the go, a protein bar would be just as good.

3. Treat vs. Binge - There is definitely a difference between the two. One of the most important parts of dieting is to indulge in whatever food you enjoy but in controlled portions. This means stopping after one slice of pizza or putting the wine bottle in the cupboard after one glass.

4. Eat when you're really hungry - Some of the calories consumed in a day are due to mindless consumption. Others are guilty of eating more when they are under emotional stress. Once a habit of eating only when hungry is established, it would be easier to lose the extra weight.

5. Drink water - One of the most important parts of fitness is staying hydrated, Women's Health Magazine reported in an article. 6. Smaller plates - Eating Well website gave a useful tip to help weight loss, and that is to use smaller plates when eating. There was a theory suggesting that eyes will get tricked into thinking that we are eating big portions when we see the smaller plate full. This will result in getting smaller food portions and being more satisfied with less food.

7. Substitute snacks with yogurt - Yogurt is considered one of the top weight-loss promoting foods for the body. It is high in protein than will fill you up faster than carbohydrates. The probiotics in yogurt also help burn fat. Opt for plain low-fat or non-fat yogurt for snacks instead of salty and oily crisps.
