Kim Kardashian has been very open about her struggle in getting pregnant again. Reports say that she wants to give little North West a little brother or sister soon. Hence, she is considering surrogacy as an option to conceive her second child.

Despite having jokingly said that she and Kanye West have sex "500 times a day," Kim K is still unable to get pregnant.

"Kim has been undergoing IVF," an uncited source told US Magazine. Unfortunately "It's causing problems with her body."

The 34-year old KUWTK reality star gave birth to her daughter North last June 2013.

She was reported to have a difficult pregnancy because she gained a lot of weight and had medical issues including pre-eclampsia which led to her early delivery, as per Daily Mail.

Pre-eclampsia is a pregnancy disorder that involves high blood pressure and organ system damage. If left untreated, it could lead to complications and could be even fatal for both mother and child, according to Mayo Clinic.

Just last month, Kim told Today's Matt Lauer about her struggles with getting pregnant again after having her first baby.

"They say if you've been trying [to have a baby] for a year, then you usually need a little bit of help," Kim said at the time. "I had a tough delivery, so I understand what my challenges are. I mean, I'm seeing the best doctors and I'm trying to do everything I can to make that happen.

"They have recommended to me to get a surrogate, and I would like to hold out a little bit longer, and still try," she shared. "I still have hope, so I'm just going to keep on trying. Never say never. I mean, we haven't talked about adopting..."

According to Examiner, some fans aren't in the least bit surprised about Kim K's option to get a surrogate. They even went far as saying that Kim wants the surrogacy alternative because she doesn't want to get fat again.

Kim said that the online fat-shaming made her pregnancy all the more difficult because of the harsh words she received while carrying baby North.

"Every day I would hear people criticize me, and it would affect me," Kim said. "Little by little it would chip away at my soul. I wanted to tune out the media and my public life and ignore it all."

Standing at 5 foot 2 inches, Kim almost went to 200 pounds while she was pregnant. When she gave birth, she struggled to shed the extra 56 pounds off, but managed to do so after 6 months—all thanks to her haters.

"The haters helped motivate me," she said. "Seeing every crazy thing written about me gave me motivation."
