The specifications of the new third gen Moto G has been leaked by a retailer. According to reports, the new mobile phone from Motorola will be water-resistant.

Motorola is set to announce the release of their new mobile smartphone, Moto G (3rd gen). According to NDTV, a Spanish retailer, fnac.es, leaked the new handset in their own e-commerce website. It was reportedly for sale for 199 euros (approx. 216 USD).

Phone Arena reports that the Moto G dummy handsets come with IPX7 certification, meaning it is capable of water resistance. The dummy units were produced to be showcased in Canadian stores, the report adds.

According to GSM Arena, the new Motorola Moto G will have a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and will run on a 2470 mAh battery. It is expected to have 4G LTE, and have Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. For memory, it will have an internal storage of 8 or 16 GB, with 2GB RAM and an external slot for a microSD that is expandable up to 128 GB. It will run on a micro-SIM and will have a display of 5 inches with a 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. There will be two cameras for the new Moto G handset— a 13 MP camera with LED flash at the rear and a 5 MP camera in the front.

In another report by GSM Arena, the website explains the significance of IPx7 certification of the new smartphone. The water-resistance capability should be able to allow the new Moto G to be underwater for 30 minutes at a height of 1 meter without incurring any damage.

According to The Wiire, the new Moto G (3rd gen) may be introduced on July 28 as Motorola has allegedly sent out invites for an event on the said date. In addition to Moto G, the telecommunications giant will also introduce a new Moto X handset.

If the rumored price tag unveiled by the Spanish e-commerce website is true, it would undoubtedly make the new Moto G (3rd gen) handset a high-quality budget phone considering that it runs on the latest Droid OS with memory storage of at least 8 GB. If the IPX7 certification rumors are also true, the new phone will also be water-resistant, a guaranteed bang for the buck.
